Privacy policy

Purpose

R-WebVM Companion provides browser integration for R-WebVM computers. It downloads Alpine Linux package files requested by the virtual machine and relays user-requested link opens from the embedded browser.

Data handled by the extension

• URLs and request headers for Alpine package files requested by the virtual machine.
• The URL of a link when you Ctrl-click or Command-click it inside the R-WebVM embedded browser.
• The current tab URL, used locally to determine whether an R-WebVM page is connected.

The extension does not collect names, email addresses, credentials, payment information, health information, communications, or precise location.

How data is used and shared

Link URLs are passed locally between the embedded page and R-WebVM so the requested link can open in a virtual-browser tab. They are not sent to the R-WebVM operator.

Alpine package requests are sent over HTTPS directly to dl-cdn.alpinelinux.org. The Alpine CDN receives the package URL and ordinary network metadata needed to return the file. No package request is routed through or stored on an R-WebVM server.

Storage and retention

The extension does not maintain analytics, advertising identifiers, browsing histories, or a server-side user database. Connection state is held only while the relevant tab is open. Virtual-machine files are stored separately by the R-WebVM web app in browser-managed storage.

Permissions

• scripting: restores the packaged bridge script in an already-open R-WebVM tab after the extension is installed, updated, or reloaded.
• dl-cdn.alpinelinux.org: downloads only Alpine package index and package files requested by the virtual machine.
• vm.riyo.me: connects the extension to the production web app.
• Page access: detects Ctrl-click and Command-click on links inside embedded browser frames. The script exits unless the top-level page is vm.riyo.me or a local development build, and the listener remains inactive until that verified page connects to the frame.

Limited use

Data handled by the extension is used only to provide and maintain the features described above. It is not sold, used for advertising, used for creditworthiness or lending, or made available for human review.

Policy changes

Material changes to this policy will be published on this page before an extension update changes its data practices.

目的

R-WebVM Companionは、R-WebVM上で動作するComputerにブラウザ連携を提供します。仮想マシンが要求したAlpine Linuxパッケージの取得と、内蔵ブラウザでユーザーが指定したリンクを開く操作を中継します。
